WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT
Lorin Schneider has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1970. She has been involved professionally with portrait photography since 1980 and in 1990 added a large selection of her travel images to her portfolio. Many of her images are captured from her travels through out Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, England, France, Italy, Israel, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic, Morocco, Russia, Cuba, South East Asia, Hong Kong and Greece. They are all used in her personalized greeting cards. She has also exhibited throughout California for the past 10 years in numerous art galleries.
In 1975, when she bought her first 35mm SLR camera, she also started printing her own photographs in her home black and white darkroom, and taught herself how to hand color and tint the images with Marshall’s oils and pencils. In 1995 she started her digital darkroom and now specializes in a very unique style of digital artistry. She uses only digital cameras, Nikon and Leica, and manipulates each image in Adobe Photoshop with numerous artistic filters that makes no two images the same. They are printed with archival inks onto different textured archival papers, canvases and metal prints. To update for 2023, only displaying all my images here, and no longer doing portraiture or gallery displays. Thank you all for taking the time to view my images.
